Graduate Estimating Management (Cognate Degree)
About this role
As a Estimating Management Trainee at Wates, you'll be given the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the business, developing your commercial knowledge relating to cost estimating and cost planning for work winning. Learning to review and analyse information that relates to preparing and writing cost plans and estimates, you'll prioritise cost effectiveness and best working practices.
What you will do
Over the course of the programme, you will:
- Assist in producing cost plans and estimates for the bidding process of new projects.
- Produce customer focussed responses and strategies for bid submissions, tailoring each response to the specific needs of each customer.
- Compile electronic submissions of work, ensuring process is followed and necessary steps are taken.
- Collaborate and engage with colleague and networks to develop your understanding of their area of work and responsibility.

Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, you must:
- Be on track to graduate in 2026 or earlier with a cognate* degree.
- Be working towards or have achieved a minimum 2:2 classification.
* Cognate degree is one that relates directly to the role you're applying for.

Programme duration
This is a 2-year graduate programme offering hands-on experience, structured development, and placements across different teams.
